Modelling of structural concrete in design and analysis of structures presents a challenging task due to the complex behaviour of plain and reinforced concrete. A review of models covers most important and useful approaches, such as truss analogy, plasticity models, strut and ties, nonlinear finite element models, their approximations and range of application.
