1978. Basic reinforced concrete and prestressed concrete construction.
This Guide to Good Practice has been prepared by a Working Party of the FIP Commission on Practical Construction.
As can be seen, this guide is directed primarily at those supervising and controlling work on site, although it is anticipated that it will have a wider use—for example, in assessing the practicality of proposed designs and in drafting contract specifications.
The guide has been prepared taking into account current material from the CEB and the FIP, and makes reference to relevant published documents wherever appropriate, so that further information can be obtained if required.
This document is intended for practical use, with the aim of helping to reduce the occurrence of some of the most common and costly mistakes. At the very least, this is the sincere hope of the drafting group listed below, to whom the Commission has expressed its thanks for the work carried out.
