N°197. 1990. High Strength Concrete - Joint FIP/CEB State-of-the-Art Report.
With the interest of both the FIP and CEB in the implications of the use of high strength concrete, it seemed logical to set up a Joint Working Group between the two bodies and in late 1988, on the initiative of FIP, this was done.
High strength concrete, in its various forms, has been under development and application for some years in different countries and the first objective of the Joint
Working Group was to produce a 'State of the Art' report for the benefit of practising designers and engineers generally. lt was fully recognised that, by virtue of the developments, this would be an on-going task which could occupy the Group for a number of years.
It is, therefore, a pleasure to be able to publish this report at the time of the Xlth Congress of the FIP thanks to the effective working of the Group in the relatively short period between initiation and publication.
