N° 121.1977. CEB-FIP Manual of Lightweight Aggregate Concrete Design and Technology (1977)
This Manual is one of a series of technical handbooks being produced by the Comité Euro-International du Béton (CEB), in collaboration with the International Federation for Prestressing (FIP), to assist designers as well as national code-drafting committees in the interpretation of the CEB/FIP International Recommendations on Concrete.
Recently, the CEB has initiated the development of a System of International Standard Codes of Practice for civil engineering, jointly with its international sister organizations, namely the International Federation for Prestressing (FIP), the International Council for Building (CIB), and the European Convention for Constructional Steelwork (CECM), in close cooperation with the International Association for Bridge and Structural Engineering (IABSE), the International Association for Shell and Spatial Structures (IASS), and the International Union of Testing and Research Laboratories for Materials and Structures (RILEM).
This work is being carried out in close collaboration with the government- and industry-backed International Organization for Standardization (ISO) in Geneva, with the active participation of its Technical Committees.
This Manual on the technology of lightweight concrete structures, the first in the series to be issued, is intended to provide a detailed practical background for the interpretation and application of the provisions of the new system of International Codes of Practice.
