N° 135.1980. CEB Manual Design of Sections under Axial Action Effects at the Ultimate Limit State (Final Draft)

In accordance with the intentions of the CEB, this Design Manual contains:

a) a short description of its scope;

b) the wording of the relevant clauses of the Model Code (§ 10);

c) general comments on safety considerations, the determination of design action effects, and the basic assumptions for the design of sections under axial action effects;

d) proposals for appropriate design procedures (formulae, diagrams, tables) for a variety of design problems for reinforced and prestressed sections;

e) numerical examples for each design procedure.
