N° 164. 1985. Industrialization of Reinforcement in Reinforced Concrete Structures - Synthesis Report

This Synthesis Report was prepared by the CEB Task Group VII/3 "Industrialisa­tion of Reinforcement" which was formed 1979 by CEB Commission VII "Reinfor­cement, Technology and Quality Control ". 

The main objectives of the Task Group were to examine the current knowledge (research results and practical experience ) on industrialisation and ratio­nalisation of reinforcement works for reinforced concrete structures and to give practical recommendations to designers mostly but to manufacturers, con­tractors and members of code committees as well. 

This report has been approved by the CEB Commission VI "Detail ing" and Com­mission VII "Reinforcement, Technology and Quality Control ". Furthermore a draft of it ha s been presented to the General Assembly of the CEB in Prague in Octobre 1983 and the comments received from national delegations have been taken into account for this final version. 

A book of this art can never be complete . Nevertheless, it is hoped that this report will help to promote the industrialisation of reinforcement, and the 

comments and discussions will secure the future development of this modern topic .
