1990. High strength concrete (FIP/CEB) (PDF)
With the interest of both FIP and CEB in the implications of the use of high-strength concrete, it seemed logical to establish a Joint Working Group between the two bodies. In late 1988, on the initiative of FIP, this was achieved.
High-strength concrete, in its various forms, has been under development and application for some years in different countries. The first objective of the Joint Working Group was to produce a state-of-the-art report for the benefit of practising designers and engineers in general. It was fully recognised that, due to ongoing developments, this would be a continuous task that could occupy the Group for a number of years.
It is therefore a pleasure to be able to publish this report at the time of the XIth Congress of FIP, thanks to the effective work of the Group during the relatively short period between its initiation and publication.
