1996. Corrosion protection of prestressing steels. (PDF)
This State-of-the-Art Report is the result of a joint effort by FIP Commission 2 – Prestressing Materials and Systems – and Commission 4 – Practical Construction.
The report gives a comprehensive overview of well-known methods for establishing corrosion protection of prestressing steels.
The publication of the report has been awaited with great interest by the construction industry. It is hoped that this report will encourage designers of prestressed concrete structures to consider corrosion protection of prestressing steels as an important means—among others—of producing more durable concrete structures.
We wish to express our thanks to all members of the Working Group, particularly to its Chairman, Dr Walter Podolny Jr., for preparing this document.
