1978. Proposal for a standard for acceptance tests and verification of epoxy bonding agents for segmental construction. (PDF)
This proposal for a standard has been prepared by Mr. J. J. Bouvy (Netherlands) and Mr. B. Shepherd (New Zealand, temporarily residing in France). Important comments were provided by Mr. A. Hillebrandt (Netherlands), Mr. F. Hugenschmidt (Switzerland), Mr. M. Kavyrchine (France), Mr. H. Krenchel (Denmark), Mr. Jean Muller (France), Mr. F. A. Sims (UK), and Mr. D. Tümmler (FRG).
The proposed standard deals with the criteria and testing methods, as well as the function and properties of bonding agents, all of which should be considered when selecting a specific material. It also addresses the application and field testing of bonding agents, as well as the requirements that must be imposed on the interfaces.
It is felt that this proposal for a standard on epoxy bonding agents for segmental construction will be of great value both to those responsible for formulating requirements and to those using these materials.
The Commission welcomes all criticism and suggestions for improvement of the proposed standard.
