N° 119.1977. Trial and Comparison Calculations based on Bulletin d'Information n.117

The present Bulletin is a working document (TCC 99) submitted by the Steering Group on Trial and Comparison Calculations (TCC), based on almost 100 previous papers comprising some 3,000 pages. It reports on the Group’s activities and preliminary conclusions. It will be completed by Paper TCC 100, which will include further information on contributions received up to August 1977 and which will be distributed at the September Plenary Session in Granada.

In the period from March to August 1977, four full meetings were held in Amsterdam, Brussels, Stuttgart and Paris, as well as two partial meetings in Paris and London.

Essential support has been provided to the Steering Group by approximately 15 national TCC groups representing over 100 design teams. The Steering Group expresses its gratitude and appreciation to all contributors, especially to those who prepared the standard calculations: Messrs. Macchi, Matthews, Molzahn, Rostam, Schadow, Seyfert, Skettrup, Stasse, de Villalta, and in particular Mr. Weischede, who also provided substantial assistance to the secretariat in evaluating the comparisons received.

The members of the Steering Group hope that this report will serve as a useful reference for the discussions in Granada and that these discussions will provide guidance for the final version of the standard calculations, to be based on the approved Model Code.
