The following recommendations for the content of Design Manuals were given at the CEB session in Copenhagen, May 1971:
- Short description of scope.
- Short recapitulation and, where necessary, extension of the relevant clauses of the Recommendations.
- Suggestions of techniques for solving inherent problems, taking into account:
a) the variety of problems to be solved,
b) the different degrees of approximation required and the limitations of the application of the proposed methods, and
c) the variability of methods that can be used (formulas, diagrams, tables, computer programs). - Examples of application.
- Where relevant, flow diagrams for computer programs.
