The following recommendations for the content of Design Manuals were given at the CEB session in Copenhagen, May 1971:
- Short description of scope.
- Short recapitulation and, where necessary, extension of the respective clauses of the Recommendations.
- Suggestion of techniques for solving inherent problems, taking into account:
a. the variety of problems to be solved;
b. the different degrees of approximation needed and the limitations of the application of the methods proposed;
c. the variability of methods that can be used (formulas, diagrams, tables, computer programs). - Examples of application.
- Where relevant, flow diagrams for computer programs.
