N° 148. 1982. Durability of Concrete Structures - State-of-the-Art Report

Usually, concrete structures fulfill in a very efficient way the requirements of durability. However inconvenient deterioration may occur if inadequate materials and building techniques are used and if structures are submitted to very aggressive environmental conditions. 

To avoid premature deterioration a clear understanding of degradation phenomena is needed. This justifies the decision of CEB to form a "Task Group on Durability'' whose first aim is to prepare a state-of-the -art report giving guidance in this wi de and multidi sciplinary field.
