In 1963 at Wiesbaden it was reported that the original set-up of Commission X, initiated in 1961 at Monaco, had been changed. The program once divided into two parts: slabs proper and flat plates (supported on columns) had already been abandoned. It had been decided at Paris in January 1963 to concentrate on the following three subjects: yield-line theory, recent slab research, punching through of slabs. In this respect a great deal of work has been done.
