Since Bulletin No. 85 was produced in 1972, various amendments and additions have been suggested. These originated from the CEB Commission meeting in Leningrad (May 1972), Manual Drafting Committee meetings in Aachen, London, and Kraków, and a Symposium on Lightweight Concrete in Kraków (May 1973).

Chapter 6 (Design Considerations) has been extensively redrafted, and a new version is included. Chapter 9 (Steam Cured Aerated Concrete) will be excluded and published as a separate manual.

Bulletin 95 was produced by the Building Research Establishment of the Department of the Environment, Watford, England.
