N° 155. 1983. Buckling and Instability - Progress Report
Soon after the foundation of CEB a Commission "BUCKLING AND INSTABILITY " (Com . VIII) was formed . Under the guidance of outstanding scientists such as Dr . A. AAS-JAKOBSEN , Prof . F. LEVI and Prof. G. WÄSTLUND as a first result of the commission work a CEB/FIP Manual for buckling and instability was prepared . Unfortunately , while preparing the final wording some important basic assumptions had been changed in the draft of the CEB/FIP Model Code . Therefore a complete revision of some chapters of the manuscript was needed in order to ensure consistency with chapter 1 4 of the 1978 edition of the CEB/FIP Model Code for Concrete Structures . Only by the energy and activity of Prof. F. LEVI and his coworkers this Manual could be published in 1978 as Bulletin d'Information No . 123. Some printing errors in this Manual are corrected by the "List of Errata" added at the very end of this Bulletin .
