N° 201. 1990. Recommendations for Mechanical Splices of Reinforcing Bars. - Recommendations for Spacers, Chairs and Tying of Steel Reinforcement - Reliability Considerations for Hydraulic Variables.

The document "Recommendations for Mechanical Splices of Reinforcing Bars" is the result of the work proposed by Permanent Commission VII : Reinforcement, Technology and Quality Control, carried out by its Task Group VIl/6 and discussed and approved by 

the Commission in its meetings of Dubrovnik ( 198 8) and Sevilla ( 1989). The main scope of the Recommendations is to offer to the engineer a guideline for the specification and control of mechanical splices under the light of the description of existing systems. Technical Requirements have been coordinated with those stated in the "Recommendations for Welded Splices" published in CEB Bulletin 186.
